The universities of applied sciences (in Dutch: 'hogescholen') offer programs that focus on the practical application of arts and sciences.
NHLStenden University is an internationally recognised institution that awards accredited degrees. We have already successfully educated thousands of international students (also from Brazil) with our English-language bachelor and master programmes in a variety of subject areas. These range from International Hospitality Management to International Teacher Education for primary schools (ITEPS) to Information Technology and Life Sciences.
HZ University of Applied Sciences (HZ UAS)
HZ UAS, formerly Hogeschool Zeeland is a knowledge institution for higher vocational education (hbo) in the Dutch province of Zeeland and has branches in Vlissingen and in Middelburg. HZ is known
as the personal university of applied sciences. Some 4,800 students attend full-time or part-time education here. HZ offers more than 30 bachelor's programs and several master's programs. In
addition, the college offers associate degrees, post-graduate programs, master classes or courses. Many of the programs are also offered in English.

Electrohydrodynamic Atomization. Examples of previous internships:
Supporting and conducting experiments in the laboratory, writing reports, performing literature reviews, work with data analysis and data treatment. The research topic is the application of electrohydrodynamic atomization (EHDA) as an emulsification tool. The process has many applications both in food technology and water technology. The experiments will be conducted in the EHDA laboratory inside the Water Application Centre in the city of Leeuwarden, Netherlands (30).

- Recycling of surface and process water for industry, agriculture and aquaculture.
- Recovery of valuable content in wastewater, like nutrients and humid acids.
